Arranger Keyboard Styles
As a one-man-band type of entertainer, I have been using "arranger" type keyboards for many years. For the solitary gigging musician/singer, I personally find this the very best way to create the sound of a full band while still keeping the music "live" without having to revert to using sequencers or pre-recorded backing tracks.
Arranger keyboards tend to come with a large stock of factory Styles and preset sounds, but I like to push their capabilities as far as I can by creating my own customised Styles and sounds for the specific songs and medleys I do.
My emphasis when creating arranger Styles is always on the "live" performance of the songs so I tend to really push the envelope when it comes to utilising the intro, variation, and fill buttons for the left-hand accompaniment, and the Upper1 & 2 layers for the right-hand sounds.

Below are a few Youtube videos of me playing custom Styles I created on my Roland BK9 arranger keyboard.
